Dankjewel uit Malawi
Big, big, big thanks to our friends and supporters at Basisschool Het Spoor, a Primary School in Lier, Belgium, who have been fund-raising for Chimbota again. They’ve raised even more money this year, which will mean we can do even more!
Our first plan is to repair the borehole opposite the Chimbota maize mill, so that our workers and the whole community can use it again (it’s been broken for a very long time). We’re also going to buy some more textbooks that our librarian has been waiting for, and science equipment that we need for the Form 4 exams next month.
We’ll keep you up do date with how we are spending the money over the next few weeks. Thanks again to all those involved in the fund-raising – students, teachers and parents, from everyone at Chimbota.
